Wednesday, March 21, 2012: It's in the rain that we visit today Rochefort-en-terre, Redon, La Gacilly and menhirs of Monteneuf. No video this time either.
Firstly Rochefort-en-terre, with its collegiate church Notre-Dame-de-la-Tronchaye. This church architecture rather squat as you can see on the pictures :

Last stop of the day: the megalithic stones of Straight to Monteneuf. This site is the second most important site (after Carnac) megaliths (rocks erected in rows) and it dates from 5000 years ago, in the Neolithic. There are a lot of restoration had to do because of the almost complete destruction of the site in the first century at the request of the religious authorities. It is from 1989 that the site was renovated, it was discovered 6 lines of menhirs, the largest weighing 38 tons! Here the Koala-Jones :
